When trying to decide on a new phone, there are many things that need to be considered. Recently, phones have become much more advanced through their capabilities, size, camera quality, and much more. The arguably two top phones on the market right now are the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the iPhone 12. These are both very popular and seem to be taking over the phone industry. There are some important differences between these two phones including the prices, processor, storage, connectivity, display size, display resolution, front-facing camera, rear cameras, OS, and special features.

After reading an article by PC Magazine I found many differences between these two phones. The prices of the phones range from $999 for the iPhone 12 Pro or $1099 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Samsung Galaxy S20 regular is $999, the Plus $1,999, and the Ultra $1,399. The storage options for the iPhone 12 are 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, while the Samsung Galaxy S20 is 128GB, and 256GB. The connectivity (data) is LTE 5G for both phones; however, the Samsung Galaxy S20 is only able to use mmWave Verizon only. The size of the iPhone 12 is 6.1 inches, and the mini is 5.4 in. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is 6.5 inches, S20 5G is 6.2 inches, S20+5G is 6.7 inches, and S20 Ultra 5G is 6.9 inches. These are just some of the differences that these phones have from each other. However, these phones are both very nice and there is no going wrong either way.

In an interview with Caleb Marcantel, a senior at Catholic High, he said he really liked all of the features on his iPhone 12. He said that it was a big change from his former iPhone 9. He said that the screen was much bigger, there was no home button when trying to get to the home screen, and he was very happy with how fast the phone actually was. Also, Caleb really likes the way the phone fits in his hand, as well as how clear the picture on the phone was. To end the interview, Caleb said how he really likes the iPhone 12, but he thinks that getting a used iPhone 11 is a better idea because the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 are very similar.
